Burnell “Skeet” Magee 74, of Tylertown, died Jan. 29, 2020, at his residence. He was the son of the late Albert Magee and Nurlene Thomas Young born June 28, 1945 in Walthall Co.
A service was Feb. 3, 2020, at Tylertown First Baptist Church with interment in Tylertown Cemetery, Clayton Bullock officiating.
Magee graduated from JJ Gulledge in 1965. It was in high school where he learned he had a skill of working with automobiles and began working summer job with Laird Motor Co. that became a 45 year lifelong career. He married Carolyn Dillon on April 29, 1970.
He was drafted into the military February of 1968 where he served with diligence and courage until he was honorably discharged in February 1970.
Burnell was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Clemmie Magee; brother, Charles A. Magee, sister, Linda Webb; brother-in-law, Billie Dillon.
He leaves behind, Carolyn Magee, wife, and six children: Rodney and April Magee, Tylertown; Renee Magee, Memphis, TN, Mark Bridges, Decatur, AL, Linda Quinn, Tylertown and Dexter Ward, McComb, two stepsons: Ricky (Annie) Dillon, Tylertown, and Renon Williams, Lucedale; six sisters: Gloria Conerly, Margie (Larry) Bridges, Sue Ann (Nick) Pate, Patricia (Lee) Lidell, Francis Smith, Nathaline Anderson; sister-in-law, Pomee Taylor; step siblings: Mary (Rufus) Lampton and Jerry (Dinan) Smith; god-sister, Etta Warren; god-Sandra Faulk; 12 grandchildren.
