A funeral service for Jane Pigott Dillon, 87, of Tylertown, was March 16, 2020, at Capps Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Griffin and Rev. Danny Stevens officiating, burial in the Tylertown Cemetery.
Mrs. Dillon died at Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown March 13, 2020. She was born June 18, 1932, in Tylertown to the late Parnell and Clyde Pigott Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Harold Dillon; and her two brothers Clyde Pigott Jr. and Jerry Pigott.
Jane was a member of Lexie Baptist Church and taught school at Carters Creek, Tylertown, Enon, and Mt. Hermon for a combined 50 years. While teaching she used her experience playing basketball from high school and college and coached basketball for some of the schools. Outside of teaching she loved her cats and dogs, gardening, being outdoors, fishing, traveling with her sister and spending time with her sister at their camp on the Bogue Chitto river. She and her sister were also star basketball players for Dexter High School and Pearl River Community College.
Survivors include her identical twin sister Jean (Billy) Bourne; her two special sister-in-law’s Martha (Jerry) Pigott and Peggy (Clyde Jr.) Pigott; four nephews Tommy (Lynn) Bourne, Craig (Lisa) Pigott, Chris (Lisa) Pigott, and Twain (Kim) Pigott, niece Lori (Michael) Fast.
Pallbearers were Tommy Bourne, Thomas Bourne, Tristan Bourne, Caleb Kracht, Craig Pigott, and Hamilton Pigott.
