Market Max bypass location reopens, features new services at new store
Tylertown’s newest Market Max location reopened Friday and customers almost immediately began utilizing fuel pumps and darting in for coffee, drinks and snacks, breakfast and to sample the new store’s deli selection. A Market Max spokesman said the location’s new offering of chicken tenders proved to be a popular lunch menu choice, available in the customer’s choice of separate tenders only, or as a lunch box. The chicken tenders lunch box can be had with three, four or five tenders served with biscuit, red beans and rice and French fries. Another favorite, chicken wings are also available and a store spokesman said the deli plans to offer other chicken specialties including “poppers” in the near future. Available at breakfast and into the day are sausage biscuits and sausage dogs, plus grab-n-go sandwiches anytime. The store also features an ‘ice cave.” Rather than getting a bag of ice from a freezer box outside the store, customers walk into the “ice cave” to pick up a bag of ice directly. Another new feature in the coffee service area, which features fresh-brewed coffee, is a cappuccino machine offering six flavors. The customer makes their choice from the six, and the coffee beans are selected and ground, then brewed while they wait. New fuel pumps have been added at the pay-at-the-pump gasoline service islands; and now diesel customers have the ability to pay-at-the-pump as well. The Market Max Plaza Drive hours are 5 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 6 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday.
