Local officials looking for Sunflower replacement

Officials are exploring all options to obtain a replacement for the downtown Sunflower food store, closing this week.
Mayor Ed Hughes said town officials, the chamber and business leaders are exploring all options in a search for another food outlet to occupy the location.
“We feel it is important to offer residents a choice, and having two grocery stores is something they’ve come to expect. Many have expressed their disappointment with the loss of convenience the downtown store offered,” Hughes said. We are in contact with building owners and are speaking with other outlets about possibly locating here.”
