A graveside service for Willie Herbert McCallum, 99, of Tylertown, was May 11, 2020, at Tylertown Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wicker officiating.
He died at his granddaughter’s home in Jayess May 7, 2020. He was born March 11, 1921, in Smith County to the late Mary and William McCallum. He is also preceded in death by his son Don McCallum.
McCallum was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was also a local Mason and a member of the Walthall County Hospital Board. He was a Marine and received a purple heart. He lived by the marine code. His other hobbies were fox hunting, traveling, and meeting new people.
Survivors include his wife of 78 years Allos McCallum; son Danny (Karen) McCallum; daughter Joan (Dude) Johnson; seven grandchildren Brigitte (Jason) Foulk ,Brandi (Tracey) Hill Chris (Jennifer) McCallum, Josh McCallum, Colton McCallum, Mindy (Ernie) Mullins, and Donnie McCallum; 11 great-grandchildren Blake Loup, Mason McCallum, Easton McCallum, Ashlynn Gautreau, Taylor Gautreau, Morgan Whittington, Sydney Whittington, Payton Hill, Sage Mullins, McCall Mullins, Caleb McCallum; one daughter -in-law Susie McCallum; one special friend Jim Foulk.
Pallbearers were Donnie McCallum, Jim Foulk, Jason Foulk, Chris McCallum, Josh McCallum, and Colton McCallum.
