Pearlean Mallard, 64 of Tylertown, died May 19, 2020 at her residence. Ms. Mallard was born Aug. 13, 1955, in Lawrence County to the late Charles and Lora Mallard.
A graveside service will be May 30, 2020, at Pink Hill Church Cemetery, Magnolia, Rev. Andre Tillman officiating.
At an early age she joined Salem M. B. Church. She was a member of the St. James U.M. Church.
Pearl attended and graduated from Topeka Tilton High School in 1974. After graduating high school, she went into the workforce. She worked in the poultry industry, custodian at Tylertown High School and later housekeeper at Walthall General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles “Sweet” Mallard and Lora McClelland Mallard; brother, Chester Hill; niece, Sylvia Sartin-Arnold; nephew, Kevin ‘Toot’ Magee.
She leaves behind: two children Latrista (Victor) Washington, Zachary, LA, and Nichlos Jackson, Martinsburg, WV; two grandchildren: Hailey and Haelyn Washington, Zachary, LA; seven sisters: Irma McClelland, Duran, SC, Earlean Sartin, Jayess, Mearlean (Daniel) Magee, Tylertown, Dorothy Wilson, Jayess, Shelia Mallard, CT, Sharon Mallard and Charlotte Young, both of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers: Charles (Patricia) Mallard, Hinesville, GA, and Charles Young, MN.
