TaShunda Latriece Carson Badon, 38, of Tylertown, died June 16, 2020, at her residence.
Born Oct. 25, 1981, in Tylertown, she was the daughter of Rev. Richard Carson, and the late Mary Nell Lewis Carson. She graduated from Tylertown High School and went on to further her education at Southwest Community College. There she obtained her associate’s degree in office system technology and also certified nursing assistant. She later attended Colin Community College and obtained an associate’s degree in child development.
She maintained various jobs – McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tylertown High School and Tylertown Superintendent Office where she worked until she was no longer able.
She joined Antioch MB Church and gave her life to Christ at a young age. She later joined her husband, Bernardo Badon, at the Living Center in Franklinton. They were united in marriage on April 14, 2007 and they had two children: Railynn Jade and Braylen Kade Badon.
She was known for her famous cream cheese pound cakes and pecan pies. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Nell Carson; grandparents, Rev. Hivey and Rosie Carson, MacArthur Lewis.
Survivors are her husband, Bernardo Badon; two children, Railynn and Braylen Badon; her father, Richard Carson (Stacey), grandmother, Carrie Faye Lewis; father and mother-in-law, Jimme and Mary Badon; four siblings, Kimberly Carson, Erica (Juan) Simmons, Ty’Raeshann Jenkins and Richard (Esha) Carson; one sister-in-law, Breyonka (Bobby) Lenoir and two brothers-in-law, Jimmie Jr. (Kateria) Badon and Derek Badon; a special god-daughter, Endia Badon.
A graveside service was June 23, 2020, at Tylertown Cemetery II with the Delask Dillon rendering the eulogy.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
