Treginald Kendall “Treg” Magee, 50, of Flint, MI, died June 20, 2020.
Born Aug. 21, 1969, in Tylertown, he was the son of Percy Magee, Jr. and Gaynell Simons Magee.
He began his formal education in Iowa until his family moved to Michigan in 1982. He attended Grand Blanc Community Schools and attended college at Alcorn State University.
He enjoyed going fishing and hunting with his father, brother and uncle, and fixing things, especially cars. Magee was also actively involved in sports while in school. He played soccer, basketball, football and ran track. He held the record for long jump for several years.
Survivors are his parents, Percy and Gaynell Magee; brother, Reginald (LaTangie) Magee; sister, Pamela Magee; four nieces, Joya, Kiara, Eliese and Raylin Magee; aunts, Bernadine Green, Lucy Jean McKay and Emma Simmons; uncles, Herbert Simmons, W.B. Jones, and Roy Lee Jones; God-mom Hazel Bullock; significant other, Nonnie Morgan; adopted family of brothers, Stan, Andre, Thomas and Tim Holder, Benard Stewart and Ishmael Hamilton; life-long friend, Preston Roberts and Cedric Scott.
A funeral service was June 27, 2020, at Washington Funeral Home, interment in the Magee’s Creek Church Cemetery in Tylertown.
Pallbearers were Stan Holder, Thomas Holder, Benard Stewart, Andre Holder, Tim Holder and Ishmel Hamilton.
Honorary pallbearers were Percy Magee, Herbert Simmons, Jack Lamont Solomon, Robert Jones, Reginald Magee, Wendell Jones, Ricky Jones and James D. Green.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.Aug. 21, 1969 – June 20, 2020
