Graveside service for Mary Frances “Molly” Boyd, 81, was July 9, 2020, at Enon Cemetery with Rev. David Hedden officiating.
She died July 4, 2020, at Diversicare.
She was a lifelong resident of the Enon community, active in Enon Baptist Church. For years she cared for babies in the church nursery, was active in the church choir and the Joyful Generation. She was a cosmetologist, known for her enjoyment of crafting handmade items for family and friends and involved in the Boyd family dairy.
Ms. Boyd was born Feb. 2, 1939, daughter of the late Lurlene White and Alfred L. Boyd, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Eugene Boyd; sisters, Ruth Boyd Thornhill (Bill) of Hattiesburg, and Juanita Boyd Allred (Cliff) of McComb; nephew, Robert Brooks Huhn; infant niece, Vanessa Ann Boyd; great-niece Maya Ashlynn Rushing and great-nephew Jerod Trent Boyd.
Survivors include a sister, Grace Boyd Huhn (Louie) and a brother, Alfred L. “Sonny” Boyd (Hope); sister-in-law, Lanier Magee Boyd; nieces and nephews Kim Davis Boyd (JoAnn); Keith Edgar Thornhill of Hattiesburg; Kyle William Thornhill (Cheryl) of Biloxi; Teresa Allred Harrington (Jack) of Madisoni; Timothy Clifton Allred (Linda) of Meridiani; Tina “Beth” Huhn Hahn (James) of Oxford; Ryan Stephen Boyd (Becky) of White House, Tenn.; Tanya Boyd Rushing (Tony).
Pallbearers were Calvin McEwen, Terry Boyd, Jack Bacot, Ronnie Campbell, Larry Hughes and Chad Griffin.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Enon Baptist Church at 1449 Hwy 583, Jayess, MS 39641 or to the Enon Volunteer Fire Dept. in care of Calvin McEwen, fire chief, at 186 Beartown Road, Jayess, MS 39641.
