Darris “Cigar” Magee, 62, of Tylertown, died July 28, 2020.
Born Aug. 20, 1957, in Tylertown, he was the son of the late Eldra Magee and Wanda Jean Fortenberry Magee. Darris was married to Tina Carpenter Magee.
Survivors are his wife, Tina; four children, Twylia Barnes, Antonio Magee, Devin Jones and Dylan Jones; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Bessie Magee of Tylertown, Glendale Dean (Thomas) of New Orleans, Vanessa Simmons of Biloxi; two brothers, Elnester Magee (Cinofia) and Bryan Magee (Cassandra); a special cousin, Paul Jefferson (Suzette) of New Orleans.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Magee; and one brother, Jerry Magee.
A graveside service was Aug. 8, 2020, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery with Bishop Charles Brumfield rendering the dulogy, interment in the Mt. Moriah MBC Cemetery.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
