A graveside service for Roy Junior Ellis, 72, of Tylertown, was held at Centerville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Aug. 11, 2020, with Eld. Jim Thornhill officiating.
Ellis died at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg Aug. 7, 2020. He was born Dec. 29, 1947, in Tylertown to the late Charlene and Edgar Ellis. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Doris Ellis.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his farm, and working on his tractor. Ellis was a member of Centerville Missionary Baptist Church and was also a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Survivors include his two sons Shermit (Jennifer) Ellis and Shannon (Misty) Ellis and one grandson Anden Ellis; two sisters, Gladys Breland and Judy Coker.
Hartman-Hughes Capps Funeral Home was in charge.
