Ruby P. Mark, 62, of Sandy Hook, died July 28, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 22, 1957, in Walthall County to the late Warren and Edgie Pittman.
A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Mark was Aug. 8, 2020, at 1st Mt. Bethel Church Cemetery, Sandy Hook, with Rev. Jessie Bridges officiating. Interment was in 1st Mt. Bethel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mark joined 1st Mt. Bethel MBC at an early age. She began her schooling at J. J. Gulledge and late at Dexter High School. She was married to Jerry Mark on Dec. 25, 1976, and to this union two children were born.
She worked at Orleans Furniture Factory for many years. She was a roofer and worked as a custodian at Dexter High School until her health began to fail her.
Survivors are her husband of 43 years, Jerry Laverne Mark; son, Jerry (Tamika) F. Mark; two daughters: Ruby C. Mark and Lanena S. Mark, all of Sandy Hook; special nephew, Oliver Pittman; six grandchildren: Jazmyne, Jakaden, Tyrek Mark, Kristen Williams, Tyana and Tamia Mark; six siblings: Dorothy Conerly, Otis Pittman, Sr., TJ (Yuncardo) Pittman, Sr., Ossie Smith, Ella (William) Lee and Eva Pittman, all of Sandy Hook; godson, Arthur Pittman, sister-in-law, Rachel Campbell, Denver, CO.
