George M. Reeves, Jr., 79, a resident of McComb, died Sept. 6, 2020, in Eads, TN.
He was born June 7, 1941 in Pike Co. to George M. Reeves, Sr. and Pearl Forman Reeves.
He was a member of First Baptist Church McComb. He was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran. He enjoyed gardening and especially his church family. Reeves looked forward to church services and fellowship with others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Bobby E. Reeves, Stephen Reeves, and Billy Reeves, three sisters; Marjorie Freeman, Mary Evelyn Estess and Sandra L. Use’.
His wife Brenda A. Reeves, 74, a resident of McComb, died Sept. 7, 2020, at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
She was born in Pike County on Aug. 21, 1946, to Robert Carl Alexander and Catherine Morgan Alexander.
She was a member of First Baptist Church McComb. In her younger years she enjoyed painting and needlework.
Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse; George Reeves, Jr., a sister; Joan Brent and a brother; Allen Alexander.
Private burial was in Hollywood cemetery, Rev. Woody Rimes officiating.
They are survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George “Chad” Reeves and Amy Reeves of Eads, TN; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah H. Moak and Joel C. Moak of McComb and Michelle Brady and Dan Brady, Jr. of Terry; Mr. Reeves’ sister, Martha Gail Ratcliff of the Silver Creek community; Mrs. Reeves’ brother, David B. Alexander of Jayess; her two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Alexander and Betty Coon and Danny Coon all of Jayess; seven grandchildren, Brittany Lovett (Johnathon), Dustin Moak (Oliva), Donnie Petrus, Mackenzie Brady, Jacob Brady, Jenna Reeves, and Caleb Reeves; four great grandchildren, Braden Myers, Kylah Jo Lovett, Lainey Moak and Mason Moak.
