Tamesha Delorea’ Puckett “MeshaBoo” Shaffer, 27, of Tylertown, died Sept. 8, 2020, in Franklinton.
Born May 7, 1993, in McComb, she was the daughter of Edwaric Brister and Temika Puckett Brister. She was reared in church from an early age, attending St. John No. 2 Church of God in Christ in Tylertown. Due to this upbringing she remained an active member. Tamesha was educated in the Lamar County School District and graduated from Oak Grove High School in 2010. She later attended Antonelli College in Hattiesburg and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston where she earned a Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA) license. Throughout her lifetime she worked a couple jobs that really pertained to interests including General Dynamics Call Center in Hattiesburg and Maximus Call Center in Bogalusa. On Jan. 4, 2017, she was married to Jeremy De’Sean Shaffer and with him attended New Testament Church of Deliverance Non Denominational.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Leola Brown Brister; her aunt, Stephanie Brister; and her uncle, Robert Earl Brown.
Survivors are her husband Jeremy Shaffer of Tylertown; her father, Edwarick Brister and mother Temik Puckett Brister of Hattiesburg; four brothers, Tony O’Neil Raiford of Cleburne, TX, LaDarrius Gerneil (Santona) Raiford of Gulfport; Eddreon Brister and Gregory Dewayne Brister, both of Hattiesburg; grandmother, Maxine Magee Young of Tylertown; grandfater Jerome Charles Landry of New Orleans; grandfater, JC Brister of Tylertown; great grandmother, Earnestine Webb of Tylertown; three nieces, Alijah, Skylar and Melanie Raiford of Gulfport; one Godmother, Selhane (Byrd) Kendrix of Tylertown; one Godson, Kingston Micah Lundie; one godbrother, Ra’Quan Johnson; one godsister, Breonna Magee.
A funeral service was Sept. 18, 2020, at Southwest Events Center with pastor Denise Lane officiating, interment in the New Bethel UMC Cemetery in Tylertown.
Pallbearers were Bradley Puckett, Moses Puckett, Ernest Magee, Jerome Landry, Carlos Puckett, Chayenne Puckett, Jamarcus Brister and Jamarious Brister.
Honorary pallbearers were Tony O’Neil Raiford, LaDarius Gerneil Raiford, Eddreon Brister, Gregory DeWayne Brister, Damion Raiford, Marvin Brister and Samuel Brister.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
