Funeral services for Kody Lance Stinson, 36, of Tylertown, were Nov. 7, 2020, at Capps Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Freeman officiating, burial in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Stinson died at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans Nov. 4, 2020. He was born Sept. 10, 1984, in Mccomb to Tammy and Neil Stinson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles Ray and Marilyn Stinson and Oma Ray Graves; and great-grandmother Dixie Laseter.
Kody was an avid LSU football fan. He enjoyed trying new restaurants and listening to music while he cooked. Woodworking and collecting silver were some of his favorite pastimes.
Survivors include parents Neil and Tammy Stinson; brothers Kirk (Michelle) Stinson and Kasy (Jackolyn) Stinson; nephews Mason Stinson, Kash Stinson, and Knox Stinson; grandmother Joyce Brock; uncles Max Stinson, Keith (Nancy) Graves, and Oma Graves (Uncle), and his pups Zeek and Zero.
Pallbearers were Charlie Sentell, Michael Ott, Paul Corry, Mark Konzelman, Mason Stinson, Barry Dillon, Rylan Fields, Cody Sterling, and CJ Kibodeaux.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Kody’s name to the Greg Smith Patient Assistance Fund which provides vital financial support to transplant patients and families.
