Annie Mae Lewis Thompson, 74, of Sandy Hook, died Nov. 4, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Born July 26, 1946, in Tylertown, she was the daughter of the late Tilmer Lewis and Coeva Mark Lewis. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member at 2nd Mt. Bethel Baptist in Sandy Hook where she served in the choir, pastor aide and missions.
She loved planting and tending flowers.
Survivors are her children Brenda Thompson Stiggers of Dallas, TX, Vlandalyn “Trice” Anderson of Sandy Hook, Micheal Thompson (Elisha) of San Antonio, TX; one goddaughter, Stella Ratcliff Jaudon; nine grandchildren, Anshonna Thompson, Carrington Thompson, Steven Simon, Robert Anderson, Antron Anderson, Mykkele Thompson, Tristan Stiggers, Bryanna Stiggers and Micai Thompson; nine great grandchildren, Khylan McKinley, JLyn Warren, Caden Thompson, Italy Thompson, Ayden Anderson, Kenstan Stiggers, Carrington Cash Thompson, Kyson Croether and Kennedi Scott, Troynya Gamble; two brothers, Al C. Lewis, Robert Jerry Lewis; three sisters, Annie Pearl Pittman, Teresa Ann Fountain and Lisa Gail Pittman; one brother-in-law, Clarence (Faye) Thompson; three sisters-in-law, Rozella Lewis, Cloteal Hargrove, Emma Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Earl Thompson, one great grandchild, Sha’Koria Monae’ McKinley, five brothers, LJ Lewis, RJ Lewis, TL Lewis, Charles Lewis, Joe Lewis and one sister, Fannie Lewis Johnson.
A graveside service was Nov. 14, 2020, at Second Mt. Bethel Church Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Keys rendering the eulogy and officiating.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
