Funeral services for Kenneth Lynn Hughes, 58, of Columbus, were Nov. 17, 2020, at First Baptist Columbus, with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. The graveside service was set to be in the Tylertown Cemetery in Tylertown Nov. 18, 2020, at 2:00 PM.
Hughes died Nov. 10, 2020. He was born Sept. 29, 1962, in Tylertown to the late Voudie and E C Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Avis Merle Hughes.
Kenneth was a retired CPA for Lowndes County School District. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, loved listening to music, flowers, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife Nichole Hughes; son Ethan (Cori) Hughes; daughters Chelsea (Curtis) Godfrey and Shelby Hughes; stepdaughter Dawn (Blake) Dillard; stepsons Jonathan Gwathney, Jordan Gwathney, and Joseph Gwathney; grandchildren Mackenzie Godfrey, Maddie Godfrey, Layna Dillard, Marley Dillard, and Klaus Dillard; brother Edward (Linda) Hughes; sisters Wilkie Cutrer, Ledonia (James) Bracey, and Shannon (Carl) Landen.
Pallbearers were Curtis Godfrey, Billy Burge, Jim Powers, Randy Stacey, Landon Magee, Larry Montgomery, Benny Coon, Ken Craft, Stacy Smith, Donny Rushing, Barry Dillon, and Cole Boyd.
Honorary pallbearers were Neil Stinson, Jimmy Magee, and Chris Boyd.
