Loveice Stewart, 68, of New Orleans, a native of Tylertown, died Nov. 22, 2020, at Passage Hospice in New Orleans. He was born Aug. 19, 1952, to the late Willie Stewart and Lillie Stewart.
Services were Nov. 29, 2020, at Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel in Tylertown, interment in the Dillon Hill Church Cemetery.
He attended Robert Maton Elementary School and later graduated from George Washington Carver Senior High School. He was baptized at an early age. He was employed with Metropolitan Transportation Authority in West Corona, Calif., until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Bernadine Stewart and Lind Smith; two brothers: Linell Brumfield and Willie Alton Stewart; grandparents: Beatrice and Otto Stewart and Vader and Clyde Brister.
He was married to Crystal King for 35 years. One child was adopted, James.
Survivors are his son, James Stewart; grandson, Tamaj Stewart of West Corona, CA; two brothers: Frank (Mable) Stewart, Abita Springs, LA, and Clyde Stewart, New Orleans; two dear friends: Rev. Willie Bradford of St. Rose, LA and Ray Donald, of CA.
