Me’Lisa Caples Bridges, 52, of Tylertown, died Nov. 26, 2020, in San Angelo, TX. Mrs. Bridges was born Sept. 18, 1968, in Chicago, IL to the late Lewis Caples,Sr. and Annie Ball.
Her service was Dec. 5, 2020 at East Fernwood, MB Church in McComb, Rev. J. J. Wilson officiating, with interment to follow in the Casey Estate Cemetery, Tylertown.
She received her diploma at Dwight D. Eisenhower High School on June 5, 1989, she attended Southwest Community College where she received a degree in license practical nursing.
She attended East Fernwood Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church and loved encouraging others with the gospel. She met and married Leonard Bridges in September 2009. She had two children. She worked as a nurse for 23 years.
She was preceded in death by her father: Lewis Caples, Sr; her brother; Eric Jones (Tag) and nephew Deandre.
Survivors are her husband: Leonard Bridges of Tylertown; one daughter: Ariel Peters of Tylertown; two sons: James Slocum Jr. of Tylertown and Harry L. White, III of Jackson; Two stepchildren: Qwalin and Malaysia Bridges of Tylertown; two grandchildren: Bobby and Grace both of Tylertown. mother: Annie Ball of Tylertown; two brothers: Lewis Caples Jr. and Carl Vincent Caples both of Chicago; one sister: Malissa Caples of Chicago, a half-brother: Xan Caples of Chicago; two half-sisters: Diana Caples and Keyosha Jones of Chicago; stepmother: Dorothy Caples of Chicago; Godmother: LaTessa( Kent) Harper of Chicago. Three God-sisters: Arlene Harper, Faith Harper, and Jessica Harper all of Chicago; two God-brothers: Nolan Harper and Garrett Harper both of Chicago; special cousin: Kim (Burnell) Shaffer and Kimberly (Warren) Conerly of Tylertown; two special nieces: Chanice Caples of Columbia and Kayla Shaffer of Tylertown; two special friends: Pyonessa (Howard) Garner-Sibley of Knoxville, TN, and Ralph ( Sebrina) Coleman of McComb; four nephews: Corey, Benjamin, Ontario, Jerry and four nieces: Kimberly of Fort Knox, KY, Keanna of Bend, WI, Dominique of Tylertown, and Gabriel of Bend, WI.
Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
