Graveside services for Theodore “Ted” Wesley Rhodus, 77, of Tylertown, will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. in the Burkhalter Cemetery.
Rhodus died Feb. 9, 2021, at his residence. He was born Jan. 20, 1944, at Tylertown to the late Doris and Clyde William Rhodus. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dewey Francis Boyd; mother-in-law, Jo Frances Boyd Meadows; and son-in-law, Dorman McDonald.
He was a long-time dairy farmer in Walthall County. In his later years, he owned and operated Ole River Steakhouse where he enjoyed talking to the customers and making new friends. He was proud of each of his kids. Marianne was his scholar, Rolna his basketball star and Ron his fishing buddy. Ted also enjoyed reaping the benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Delloris Rhodus; children, Marianne (Richard) McDonald Scoggins, Rolna (Chris) Anderson and Ron (Lydia) Rhodus; grandchildren, Chelsie (Cory) Carney, Justin (Katelyn) Amderson and Caden Rhodus; great-grandchildren, Maci Carney, Lawson Anderson and Carter Anderson; and beloved dog, Penny Rhodus.
