Funeral services for Glenda Thomas, 85, of Tylertown, were May 16, 2021, at Dexter Centerville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Penton officiating, interment at the Dexter Centerville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas died May 12, 2021. She was born Nov. 13, 1935, in Bogalusa to the late Phila and William Sigrest. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her son William Earl Thomas; brothers Haynes “Twister” Wascom, Edward “Sug” Wascom, and Billy Hickey Sigrest; sisters Evelyn Wascom Creel and Betty Wasom Wells.
She was a member of Dexter Centerville Missionary Baptist Church in Dexter where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years Earl Thomas; granddaughter Lauren Thomas; daughter-in-law Lisa Magee; nephew Mickey (Ruth Anna) McDaniel; great-grandson Keaton Bass.
Pallbearers were Bruce Stogner, Roger Dale Lowery, Rodney Wood, Junior Wascom, Dave Wascom, and Mickey McDaniel.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Kennedy, Larry Jarrell, and Shelton Stogner.
