Oudia Eva Jones, 83, of Tylertown, died May 18, 2021, at Walthall County General Hospital.
Born June 23, 1937, in Tylertown, she was the daughter of the late Fred Lewis and Everline Dillon Lewis. She married Needham Holmes on March, 1, 1954, and they had five children.
She worked at Haspels, Billdora Rest Home, and Stogner’s Fish Camp; but her cooking at Heavenly Delite Restaurant topped everything else.
She joined Magee’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member of Tylertown First Baptist Church where she remained until her death. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Senior Citizens Outreach Program where she enjoyed socializing with other senior citizens ladies.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Neeham Jones; three grandchildren: Rontario Lee, Freddricko Bridges and Shelia Bridges; one great grandchild, Eyania Tarja Amerson; two brothers: Roger Magee Sr. and Verbalee Lewis; one sister: Freddie Mae Foster.
Survivors are her children: Linda and Wilford Robinson; Fred Douglas and Vanessa (Stick & Toni) Jones of Tylertown, Ronnie Jones and Sylvia Lee of Franklinton, Randy and Rosemary Jones of Tylertown, Cynthia and Donell Smith of Franklinton; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; one sister: Virginia Holmes of Hattiesburg; devoted cousin: Bytha Magee of Tylertown.
A funeral service was May 22, 2021, at Tylertown First Baptist Church with the Apostle Clayton Bullock rendering the eulogy, interment in the St. James UMC Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rantonia Jones, Wilderique Robinson, DeBrian Lewis, J.C. Badon Jr., Randio Jones, Jarmel Jones, Ado Woodard and Jim Woodard.
Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Jones, Randy Jones, Wilford Robinson, Maurice Wilson, Ronnie Jones, Bythia Magee, Donell Smith and Julian Conner.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
