Ettie Faye Ervin, 78, died June 18, 2021, at her residence in Sandy Hook. She was born Dec. 1, 1942. She worked for various companies including Haspel Garments in Tylertown and the Marion Walthall Prison where she was a receptionist. Mrs. Ervin was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ervin was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Buck Ervin; parents, Boyd McKenzie and Myrtle McKenzie; sisters, Ruth McCain, Murlene Gore, and Rachel Rogers; and brothers, Billy Ray McKenzie, and Roy McKenzie.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Knight (Jody) of Sandy Hook; a son, Randy Ervin of Sandy Hook; a sister, Linda McWhorter of Foxworth; two brothers, Sonny McKenzie, and Doylton McKenzie (Mary Elsie), both of Sandy Hook; two grandchildren, Brandon Breland, and Chelsea Lott (Warren); and two great-grandchildren, Addison Lott, and Ava Lott.
The funeral service was June 22, 2021, in the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church sanctuary, Rev. Zach Smith officiating, burial at Hurricane Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Garath Fortenberry, Carol McCain, Jason McKenzie, Reggie Rogers, Steve Gore and Todd Thomas.
