Alice Carr, 56, of Tylertown, died June 16, 2021, at Merit Health Medical Center in Hattiesburg. Ms. Carr was born Jan. 20, 1965, in Tylertown, to Lulia Shields and the late Sylvester Craft.
There will be a celebration of life June 23, 2021, at 1st Apostolic Church, McComb, burial in Tylertown Cemetery.
She graduated from Tylertown High School in 1985 and was a member of First Apostolic Church. Ms. Carr worked on several jobs as a young adult but was unable to work after a life altering accident in 2000. She played an important role in the lives of her younger siblings and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Lover Carr; her grandparents: Willie and Alneder Bridges-Craft and Percy and Martha Dillon-Carr.
Survivors are her sons: Bilvontae Gatlin and Chrisaaron Carr; mother, Lulia Shields; her step-father: Charles Shields, step-mother, Evelyn Robinson; siblings: Brenda (Dushyanta) James, Bernard (Mary) Craft, Willie ( Renar) Shields, Cassandra Craft, Arlene Craft, Willie Craft, Amelia Shields, Keyunia Shields, April (Scottie) Smith Crystal (Cedric) Porter and Christopher Shields; sister-in-law, Connie (James) Williams; special aunt, Cynthia Craft.
