Funeral services for Kayden Troy Thomas, 12, of Sandy Hook, were July 7, 2021, at Dexter Pentecostal Church with Jerry Terrell officiating, burial in the Carson Springs Church Cemetery.
Thomas died at his residence in Sandy Hook July 4, 2021. He was born Sept. 10, 2008, in Hattiesburg to Erica Thomas. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Robert Thomas and Dixie Mae Thomas, Albert Leon Hill, and Brinnon Dillon; uncles Keith Hill and Tim Owens.
He was a very happy little boy who always had the biggest smile. He was his mother’s, pawpaw, and maw maw pride and joy. Kayden never met a stranger and was loved by many. He enjoyed being outside where he would ride the tractor and the four-wheeler. Kayden also liked music and dinosaurs.
Survivors include his mother Erica Thomas; grandparents Troy and Judith Thomas; great grandmother Kathleen Dillon; aunts Jennifer (Jerry) Hicks, April (Zachary Estess) Thomas, Carolyn (Hambone) Sutton, Wanda (Tony) Valure, Jackie (Jeff Hines) Smet, Lillie (Albert) Todora, and Dawanna Kay (Darrell) Jordan; uncles Nick (Paula Camardelle) Schillings, Greg (Jennifer) Hill, Perry (Kathy) Hill and Dakota Sutton; sister Paislee Thomas.
Pallbearers were Gage Kennedy, Eli Kennedy, Nick Schillings, Zachary Estess, Robert Graves, and Chance Smet.
Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Hicks, Troy Thomas, Hambone Sutton, Dakota Sutton, Bobby Woodard, Charles Martin, and Rocky Kennedy.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
