Larry Bridges, 47, of Baton Rouge, native of Tylertown, died July 31, 2021, at Ochsner Medical Center, Baton Rouge.
He was born Aug. 17, 1973, in Walthall County, the son of the late Jessie Mae Riley-Bridges and K.C. Badon.
An an early age he joined New Bethel United Methodist Church and later joined Spring Hill Church of God in Christ. Bridges graduated from Tylertown High School in 1992. He played baseball while there. He loved to talk, laugh and spend time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Mae Riley; a son, Larry Bridges Jr.; two sisters, Martha Bridges and LaShanda Bridges; five brothers, Lucious Bridges Jr., Lucious Monroe Bridges, Glenn Bridges, Leo Williams, Dennis Bridges; a sister-in-law Shonda Riley.
Survivors are his daughter, Janelle Bridges; one son, LaDarrius Thomas; one granddaughter; three brothers, Melton Bridges, Leroy Riley and Jacob (NaKisha) Williams; two sisters, Tyronica L. Bridges and Shirley A. Welsh; a special friend, Cassandra Thompson.
Funeral services were Aug. 7, 2021 at Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel, burial at New Bethel UMC Cemetery.
