Elizabeth Ellen Smith Barr, 55, a resident of Magnolia died Sept. 11, 2021, at her residence. A service was Sept. 21, 2021, at Dexter United Pentecostal Church, burial in Rushing Cemetery, Rev. Jerry Terrell and Rev. Jerry Jordan officiating.
Elizabeth was born June 23, 1966, in Tylertown to Charles Smith and Margie Norris. She worked at Sanderson Farms and was a resident of Magnolia. Ms. Barr loved spending time with her grandchildren and working in her yard. She was a collector of “old” things and was described as a strong and independent woman.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Smith and two brothers, Charles Rockford Smith and Samuel “Bo” David Smith.
She is survived by her mother Margie Bozeman; a son Colbey Barr (Kristine) of Little Rock; a daughter Ashley Green (Travis) of Oloh; a brother Michael Earl Smith (Carol) of Magnolia; sisters Amanda Sagely (Scott) of St. Francisville, LA, Jennifer Jones (Tony) of Angola, LA, DeeDee Baker (Ritchie) of Magnolia and Dana Nelson of Magnolia; grandchildren Rocklyn Doughty, Connor Green, Brooklyn Boyd, Bricyn Boyd, Rocky Barr, Aiden Barr, McKaelyn Boyd, Maddie Barr, Beaux Barr, Bowen Green and Charleigh Barr; her boyfriend Gary Duncan.
Pallbearers were Zachary Smith, Dusty Smith, Joshua Smith, Gary Duncan, Scott Sagely and Nate Hoyt.
Hartman Jones Funeral Home of McComb was in charge of the arrangements.
