Mary Virginia Rayborn, 78, of Jayess, died Sept. 26, 2021, at her residence.
Visitation was set for Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, from 5-8 PM at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church at Carter’s Creek and on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM all at the church, Rev. Phillip Alford officiating, burial in the Enon Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Walthall County. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Merle Pittman Boyd.
She and her husband, Marlin Rayborn to whom she was married for 46 years, owned and operated the O.M. Rayborn Trucking Co.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marlin Rayborn; one brother, Ronnie Boyd; one brother-in-law, Ottis Rayborn and her in-laws, Charlie and Ola Rayborn.
Mrs. Rayborn was a member of the Media Church and Worship Center in Baton Rouge.
She is survived by one son, Kelvin (Gwen) Rayborn of Jayess; one daughter, Shari (Robbie) McCullough of Pricedale; one brother, Buddy (Mary Ann) Boyd of Tylertown; one sister, Brenda (Dale) Anthony of Jayess; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris McCullough, Austin McCullough, Zach Rayborn, Dillon Rayborn, West Brister, and Chris Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers were Monroe Strickland, Jr., McArthur Andrews, Melvin Harrison, and Brother Lon Keen.
Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb was in charge of the arrangements.
