Charles Louis Gatlin, 75, of Tylertown, died Sept. 18, 2021, at Walthall General Hospital.
Born Sept. 18, 1946, in Tylertown, he was the son of the late Jack Gatlin and the late Aldonia Conerly Gatlin.
Gatlin moved from Tylertown to Benton Harbor, MI, where he worked as a tool die cast operator. He also was a qualified auto mechanic, which was his passion.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Charline Gatlin; six brothers, Ray Conerly, Square, Hubert, Jessie, Mozell and Eddlie Lee Gatlin; three sisters, Julie Brister, Beatrice Gatlin and Namoi Dillon.
Survivors are two daughters, Charlotte Gatlin of Georgia and Charlinda Gatlin of Indiana; three sons, Dennis Alexander and Tony Alexander of California and Charles Gatlin of Georgia; 17 grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Esquivel and Dianne (Edgar) Gesse both of Tylertown, Dorothy (Will) Branscumb of Benton Harbor, MI, and Ruth Garrett of Folsom.
A graveside service was Sept. 25, 2021, at Gatlin Family Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Ted Gatlin, Charles Gatlin, Dennis Alexander and Tony Alexander.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
