Mrs. Wheless died Sept. 28, 2021, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was born May 24, 1955, in Tylertown to Joyce and Luther Rudolph Odom Sr. She will be buried at the Tylertown Cemetery next to her parents and her brothers.
She shared 40 years with her husband, Ron. She cherished any moment with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wheless was a school teacher at Parklane Academy for many years. Pell Wheless was a lifelong member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed any moment with her church family, singing old hymns, and sharing her fried steak afterwards.
