Nathaniel “Buster” Causey, 69, of Slidell, died Oct. 16, 2021. Causey was born on July 17, 1952 in Bogalusa to the late Nerline Causey (Badon) and Bro. James Brown. He was employed with Lone Star Cement for 36 years.
He enjoyed working and providing for his family and most of all fishing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kelecy Buckhalter; mother, Nerline C. Badon; father, James Brown; sister, Inell Badon; brother, James Bullock.
Survivors are his wife of 8 years, Jean Andrews Causey; five children, Tomika Robinson of Slidell, Tremayne Ball of Chelsea, AL, Tashia Causey of Slidell, Katrina McDonald of Seattle, WA, and Corey Causey of Slidell; eight grandchildren, Devin, Daizha, Darrius, Daizha’na, Ka’Maj Robinson all of New Orleans, Dezoun Smith, Caleb McDonald and Ryann McDonald of Seattle, WA; two great grandchildren, Devyn and Denim Robinson; one grandmother-in-law, Rosa Lee Dillon; four brothers, Clinton (Inola) Dillon, Jimmy (Mary Ann) Badon, both of Tylertown, Yusef Komunyakaa of Tranton, NJ, and Authur Ray (Jeanette) Brown of Wichita, KS; four sisters, Climmtean (ER) Dillon, Dinah (Sylvester) Newell and Doris (Emmitt) Williams, all of Tylertown, and Mary Brown Angel of Bogalusa; two brothers-in-law, Ulysses (Lisa) Andrews of Slidell, and Derrick Andrews of Jackson.
A funeral service was Oct. 23, 2021, at Craft-Ginn Funeral Home, Rev. Clinton Dillon officiating, interment at Tylertown Cemetery.
