Funeral services for John Ralph Stogner, 81, of Sandy Hook, were Oct. 31, 2021, at Carson Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Archie Herrin and Rev. David Parker officiating, interment at Carson Springs Cemetery.
Stogner died Oct. 28, 2021. He was born Dec. 2, 1939, in Tylertown to the late Marshall and Irene Stogner. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother Marshall Lester Stogner; son William Brett Stogner; grandson Danon Brett Stogner; father-in-law Hoyt Leslie Boyd Sr.; mother-in-law Bobbie Boyd; and daughter-in-law Mary Ann Stogner.
He was a longtime member of Carson Springs Baptist Church and the state manager of the Holiday Rambler Camping Club. His hobbies include racing, fishing, riding his Harley, camping, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Perry Stogner, children John Ray (Melette) Stogner, Kim (Matthew) Thomas, Debbie (Patrick) Kennedy, and Darryl Brumfield; siblings Glen (Frankie) Stogner, Lola Mae Conerly, and Victor (Valerie) Merritt, 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Singletary, Robbie Stringer, Ty Stogner, Matt Thomes, Malachi Stogner, Greg Phelps, and Zachery Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers were Hayden Efferson, Dalton Stringer, Owen Singletary, andCollin Singletary.
