Howard “Donell” Lewis, 71 of Tylertown, died at Lake Regional Medical Center Nov. 4,2021 after a brief illness. He was born March 22, 1950, in Tylertown to Lettie Mae Smith and Adworth Lewis.
He attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at Tylertown in his youth. He first worked at Orleans Furniture and did a brief sprint at Washington Funeral Home. He then worked at Pop Ellzey Bottling Co. until retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Jean Lewis; two sisters, Betty Jean Lewis and Prentiss Mae Lewis; three daughters, Angela, Ladonna, and Sholanda; a great grandchild, De’Anthony Jr.; and two close friends, Bernell Magee and Leroy Howard.
Survivors are his brother, Robert Delois Claytom; six grandchildren, De’Anthony Johnson, Christian Johnson, Brianna Riley, Jalen Johnson, Phabian Johnson, Phabrandi Johnson; two great grandchildren, Haylee Fair and Tyler Johnson; three godchildren, Joshua and Toya Leonard and Amanda Green; a niece, Nakeisha Alexander; a nephew, Edwin Alexander; great nieces, Shaquaris and Japorceya Magee; great-nephew, Tyvois Magee.
A funeral service was Nov. 11, 2021, at Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel, interment at Magee Cemetery.
