Funeral services for Georgia Mae Hartzog, 83, of Tylertown, were Nov. 19, 2021 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, interment at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery (Dexter).
Mrs. Hartzog died Nov. 17, 2021. She was born Nov. 30, 1937, in Tylertown, to the late L E and Mae Branch. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husbands Daniel Hartzog and Rev. Mason Miley; grandchildren Autumn Nicole Hartzog-Scott and Amanda Jade Hartzog-Thomas; great-grandchild Jaylen Hartzog; son-in-law Bernie Flynt; siblings James Branch, Travis Branch, Daniel Branch, and Shirley Branch Pano.
Mrs Hartzog was a member of Centerville Missionary Baptist Church (Dexter). She started her working career at the Haspel plant in Tylertown. Later she found her true passion serving children as the lunchroom manager at Thomas School Cafeteria. After her retirement she worked at Winn Dixie in Franklinton as a cashier where she enjoyed talking and getting to know her customers.
Survivors include her children Dewanna Flynt, Ronnie (Linda S) Hartzog, Kenny (Kim) Hartzog, and Deanna (Bobby) Thomas; grandchildren Cain Flynt, Kimberly Miller, Lane Hartzog, Amber Hartzog, Daniel Hartzog, Ashley Hartzog, Whitney (Preston) Thomas, Wade Thomas, and Dakota Watson; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters.
