Graveside services for Samuel E. Skinner, 75, of Tylertown, were Dec. 27, 2021, at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexie with Rev. Randall Griffin officiating.
Skinner died in Hattiesburg Dec. 24, 2021. He was born April 12, 1946, in Tylertown, to the late Earl and Pauline Skinner. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister Clara Phillips.
Skinner was a member of Lexie Baptist Church and Lexie Fire Dept. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Bonnie Skinner; children Cherie (Scott) Bailey, Shane (Gina) Skinner and Shay Skinner; grandchildren Scott Blackwell, Jake (Miranda) Blackwell, Samantha Bailey, Jordan Bailey, Bane Skinner, and Eli Skinner; great grandchildren Kenzie Blackwell, River Blackwell, Beau Blackwell, and Lana Grace Blackwell; sister Margaret Packwood; niece Dusty (J C) Mercier-Diaz; brother-in-law Vic Holmes.
Pallbearers were Scott Blackwell, Jake Blackwell, Bane Skinner, Eli Skinner, Scott Bailey, and J C Diaz.
Honorary pallbearers were the Lexie Fire Dept. members, Curt Wagner, Paul Corry, Garry Dier, Pat Dier, Kelly Dier, and Terry Boyd.
