Funeral services for Robert Edward “Bob” Toney, Jr., 70, of Tylertown, were Jan. 16, 2022, at Capps Funeral Home with Rev. Hong Yoo officiating, burial in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Robert “Bob” Edward Toney, Jr. died at his home Jan. 14, 2022. He was born on Dec. 26, 1951, to the late Robert Edward Toney, Sr. and Frances Deavers Toney. Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Rhonda Brumfield Toney; daughter, Pam Toney McNeil; grandchildren, Trey Pezant (Katie) and Ty Pezant (Abigail); great grandchildren, Timber Blake Pezant and Charleigh Kate Pezant.
Toney graduated from Southwest Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi. He enjoyed his 29 years employed with U.S. Foods. While working for U. S. Foods, he would get up every morning at 4 a.m. to help his dad check in clothes at the laundry and dry cleaners.
He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed playing golf, gardening, riding his tractor, working in the yard, and walking Frankie Lee. Other hobbies he enjoyed were wood working, dominoes, crocheting, and cooking. Toney also enjoyed volunteer work, cooking meals and delivering to those in need, and loved sharing his garden vegetables to all.
He was a member of Tylertown United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as lay leader. He loved his church, church family, and singing in the choir.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Tylertown United Methodist Church.
