Voncile “Bonnie” Sumrall, of Bogalusa, died Feb. 6, 2022, in Covington, LA, at the age of 84. She was a member of Lee’s Creek Baptist Church and an active member in the church choir.
Survivors are her son John (Kathy) Sumrall, Jr. of Bogalusa; a daughter, Laurie (Chuck) Crosby of Bogalusa; a brother, Rev. Jerry Kennedy of Sheridan; a sister, Patricia Holmes of Bogalusa; two grandchildren, Ally Crosby and Brannan Crosby; special niece, Fran (Benjie) Nevers.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Sumrall, Sr.; her parents Monroe and Allie Kennedy; three brothers, Denver, Joe, and Elton Kennedy; and a sister Clara Seals.
Services were Feb. 11, 2022, at Lee’s Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Allen officiating, interment in the church cemetery.
