Boucherie’s back! Mar. 25-26, Southwest Events Center
The 2022 South Mississippi Boucherie is back–bigger and better! Returning to the originally schedule March dates, Tylertown’s tribute to the pig and barbeque kicks off the 2022 Memphis Barbeque Network season…a series of barbeque events leading up to the overall championship through points accumulated throughout the season.
Whether you compete as a pro, a backyard barbeque, or looking for a good time and a place to bring the family, Southwest Events Center’s the place Friday and Saturday, March 25-26 as the South Mississippi Boucherie goes full bore (or maybe “boar”) this year.

Things kick off Friday as teams roll into town and get fired up for cooking during the night. And you can enter the Boucherie Pie and Cake Baking Contest. Drop off entries Friday and come back Saturday to see the winner. There’s a $100 grand prize to the bakeoff winner.
Saturday morning the Tylertown Rotary Club will be on site from 7-10 a.m. serving up a pancake breakfast with usual sides and coffee to spectators and contestants, too, who may need a little extra boost to get through the last few hours of cooking.
CardioWorld’s 5K and Fun Run returns, too. It’s open to all ages and starts at 8 a.m.
The Boucherie has a big variety of entertainment–local and regional bands along with youth groups displaying their talent.
Space is being made available for local vendors. Again, applications and information are available on the web or through Facebook.
A Kid’s Corner is set up with a bouncy house, face painting and other kid’s activities available, plus there’s an onsite playground available for use to keep kids and family entertained.
Don’t forget, food and drinks are available onsite at the Boucherie.
Visitors are reminded that they are welcome to watch cookers as they prepare and compete, but competitors do not have barbeque for sale. Their preparation is to be used for judging Saturday afternoon.
However, the Boucherie is set up for sale of barbeque and other dishes during the event.
