Daylight saving time returns March 13
Daylight saving time takes effect Sunday, March 13, at 2 a.m. Most residents will opt for moving their clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night in order to be on time for Sunday activities.
“Spring forward, fall back” is the phrase used to remind people how to set their clocks for the implementation of DST.
The idea behind daylight saving time is advancing clocks during warmer months so that darkness falls at a later clock time.
Most of the U.S. will implement daylight saving time this month, then return to standard time Sunday, Nov. 6.
