Jacob Nathaniel Magee, 49, of Tylertown, died March 5, 2022, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Born Feb. 27, 1973, in Tylertown, he was the son of James C. James, and the late Emmalean Magee. He was a 1992 graduate of Salem High School.
He was an advocate drag racer, mechanic, cook, and sometimes a fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Emmalean Magee.
Survivors are his father: James C. James (Tangelia); his children: Ja’Vangeline (Pook) Magee, and Jadarius “JD” Magee; one special stepdaughter: Jasmine Aytch; one sister: San’Quanette Johnson; one brother: Charles James; one nice: Asia Steart; two nephews: Austin Stewart and Chance Johnson; three grandchildren: Joshua Butler, Jaden Aytch and Janiya Butler.
A graveside service was March 12, 2022, at New Bethel UMC Cemetery, with Rev. Troy Magee rendering the eulogy and officiating.
Pallbearers were Christopher Riley, Tyronne Quinn, James Lewis, Gaeline Riley, Ken Magee and Latrell Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Riley, Raymond Brumfield, Bradley Brumfield, Larry Williams, Gerald McComb and David Brown.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
