James Earl Bullock, 62, of Tylertown, died July 10, 2022, at St. John Hospital in Wayne County in Detroit, MI.
He was born Sept. 2, 1959, to the late Johnnie Bullock and Arlevia Weary Bullock.
He attended JJ Gulledge High School which later became Tylertown High School. He spent many summers in Pontiac, MI, in his youth with his sister until he moved there and retired in 2006. He loved fishing, playing basketball and playing cards and dominoes. He always drove luxury vehicles since he worked for the automobile industry. He returned to Tylertown after retiring because he loved country living, nature and animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Clemmie Lee Pittman, Isabella Lewis, Martha Ree Pittman and Emma Lee Singleton.
Survivors are his daughters, Crystal Carr (Ronique Boone-Carr), Andrea Fortier and Karessa Johnson (D.J.); brothers, Johnnie “Austin” Bullock, Arthur Lee Bullock (Debbie), Bishop Richard Bullock (Zelma), Willie “Glen” Bullock, Reginald “Lil Brother” Singleton (Regina); sisters, Martina “Mart” Bullock and Bobbie Jean Holmes; Lil Sister, Sheila “Sherlock” Holmes and “Amazing Niece”, Talita Roberts (Bobby); special friends, Earline Bullock, Clim Garrett, James “Bo” Ball, Onxy “Futney” Posey.
A funeral service was July 23, 2022, at Washington Funeral Home, with Bishop Richard Bullock officiating and rendering the eulogy.
Pallbearers were Billy “Ray” Pittman, Patrick Pittman, Corey Pittman, James Pittman, Johnny Ray Bullock and Mitch McGee.
Honorary pallbearers were Johnnie “Austin” Bullock, Bishop Richard Bullock, Reginal Singleton, Delast Pittman, Arthur Lee Bullock, Willie “Glen” Bullock, Oliver “Rudell” Bullock, Bobby Pittman and Jeffery Lewis.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
