Kenneth Magee, 62, of Tylertown, died July 27, 2022, at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Born Nov. 26, 1959, he was the son of the late Linward Magee and Joyce Lee Smith.
He joined New Home Church of Christ Holiness USA in Jayess at an early age. He was a 1978 graduate of Tylertown High School. He attended Jackson State University in Jackson. Later he became employed with Stringer Industries Inc., in Tylertown for 17 years.He married Velma on Aug. 24, 1988, and they had three children.
He liked fishing, chatting with friends and watching sports.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a special aunt, Irma McCaskill; brother, Joseph Magee; grandparents, Bytha and Corrine Smith.
Survivors are his wife, Velma Magee of Hattiesburg; his children, Blondie, Paris, and Kendall, all of Hattiesburg; a bonus daughter, Danyelle (Toussaint) Scott of Biloxi; a brother, Denver (Gay) Magee of Hattiesburg; seven grandchildren.
A funeral service was Aug. 6, 2022, at Washington Funeral Home, with Clayton Bullock officiating and rendering the eulogy.
Pallbearers were Brandon Allen, James Ball, Larry Youngblood, Damien Magee, Lendell Brumfield and Keavy Weary.
Honorary pallbearers were Kendall Magee, Denver Magee, Joseph Magee, Trosclair Magee, Denver Magee II and James Bullock.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
