James D. Quinn, 80, of Jayess, died Aug. 10, 2022, at his residence. Quinn was born April 4, 1942, in Walthall County to Fletcher and Jeanette Smith-Quinn.
He became a member of West Sunny Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He worked as a security guard at Belwood in Tylertown for many years. He enjoyed watching western movies and TV shows.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bertha Lee Trotter, Daisy Lee Smith, Emma Dean Quinn, Meryl Quinn, Bobbie Jean Walker and Brin Dell Ratliff.
Survivors are one brother, Fletcher Quinn Jr; one sister, Gloria Gordon (Morris Henry) both of New Orleans.
Funeral services were Aug. 27, 2022, in Craft-Dillon-Ginn Funeral Chapel, interment in the West Sunny Hill Cemetery, Dr. Marjorie Walker officiating.
