Mrs. Harvey was a cook and worked for 22 years in the Topeka Tilton cafeteria. She was also an accomplished seamstress. She made much of her daughters’ clothing, including Ruth’s wedding dress. She was an avid reader, with books stacked on shelves and every nook and cranny.
