Dorothy Evelyn Willoughby, 89, of Clinton, died Aug. 30, 2022. She was born June 21, 1933, in Tylertown.
A graveside service was at Sartinville Cemetery in Jayess Sept. 7, 2022, with Rev. Ramey Hankins officiating.
Mrs. Willoughby was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton where she served the Lord as a member of the WMU and participating in the “Seasoned with Love Ministry” at 1st Baptist Clinton providing meals for families that had lost loved ones. She made a bundt cake that she was famous for. Outside of her church activities she enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her flowers, watching the birds, playing cards with friends, and collecting dishes. She enjoyed listening to Elvis and watching his movies.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ross Otis Willoughby; father Robert E Cooper; mother Mary Christine Johnson Cooper; and brother Chester Hamer Cooper.
Survivors include her sons Gary Ross Willoughby (Mary Elizabeth) and Barry Lynn Willoughby (Sharron); grandsons Bradley Gary Willoughby, Samuel Ross Willoughby and Matthew Hegwood Willoughby (Ginny); granddaughter Maribeth McMillan (David); great grandsons Clayton Willoughby, Hayes Willoughby, Lewis Willoughby, Jacob McMillan and Brett McMillan; great granddaughter Harper Willoughby; sister Shelby Jean Buchanan.
Pallbearers were Matthew Willoughby, Bradley Willoughby, Samuel Willoughby, David McMillan, Robert Rone, and Trent Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers were Gary Willoughby, Barry Willoughby, and Andy Laurance.
