Mearlean Mallard Magee, 68, of Tylertown, died Sept. 20, 2022, at Forest General Hospital. Born Jan. 4, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Charles Mallard and Lora Mae McClelland Mallard.
She was a member of St. James Methoddiest Church. She was married to Daniel Magee.
She graduated from Topeka Tilton Attendance Center in 1972. She was employed with Multi Craft for many years. She also worked at Walthall County General Hospital as well as a home health nurse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Pearlean Mallard; two sons, Andrea and Kevin Magee; four brothers, Chester James Hills, Reginald Mallard, Rickey Mallard and Corey Mallard; grandparents, Emmanuel and Susie McClelland, Ace and Octavia Mallard; two special friends, Janice Pittman and Rose Magee.
Survivors are her husband, Daniel Magee; two sons, Bobby Ray Mallard of Houma, LA, and Devin Mallard of Houston, TX; four sisters, Irma McClelland-Brown, Durham, NC, Earlean Mallard-Sartin and Dorothy Mallard-Wilson of Jayess, Sheila Mallard-Smithh of Pennsylvania, Sharon Malllard, Brooklyn, NY, Tisha Mallard, Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte Mallard of South Carolina; one brother, Charles (Patricia) Mallard Jr. of Hinesville, GA; four Godchildren; LaTrista Washington of Zachary, LA, Nicholas Jackson of Virginia and Mario Ginn of Tylertown.
Funeral services were Oct. 1, 2022, at St. James United Methodist Church, Rev. Andrae Tillman officiating.
Pallbearers were Causton Magee, Mario Ginn, Devin Mallard, Antwan Magee, James B. Herron Jr. and Myreon Sartin.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Mallard, Devin Mallard, Charles Mallard Jr. and Nicholas Jackson.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
