Paul L Sistrunk, 82 of Jayess, died Oct. 5, 2022 at his residence. He was born Oct. 7, 1939, in Sartinville.
Funeral services were Oct. 8, 2022, at Sartinville United Methodist in Jayess, burial in Sartinville Cemetery, Rev. Lonnie Case officiating.
Sistrunk enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Sartinville United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob “Fate” L Sistrunk; mother, Pearl H Hightower Sistrunk; brothers, Hewitt Sistrunk and James “Punk” Sistrunk; sisters, Polly Allen,and Aline Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Dianne Neal Sistrunk ; children Darrell Sistrunk, Jamie Sistrunk (Marie Ann), and Becky Sistrunk; grandchildren Joshua Sistrunk, Alicia Sumrall (Kevin), Paul J. Sistrunk, Jeannie Carpenter (Shelby), Kaity Reid (Bradie), J.C. Sistrunk, Sr., Riley Rayborn, Maggie (Rudy) Rayborn; great- grandchildren Mikaila Moreland, Hailey Thomas, Cameron Thomas, Mirabelle Carpenter, James Thomas Carpenter, Oren Reid, and Oakton Reid; great great grandchild Zoe Moreland; sister Diane Sumrall.
Pallbearers were Bradie Reid, Paul J. Sistrunk, Kevin Sumrall, Cameron Thomas, Kaden Sistrunk, and Tristian Moreland .
