Jefferson County holds Chiefs scoreless 34-0
It was a tough night for the Chiefs Friday as Jefferson County shut down the Blue and Gold, holding THS scoreless through four quarters.
The Chiefs managed decent field position a couple times but the team from Fayette stiffened their defense. A couple Tigers’ interceptions turned into scores.
Jefferson County scored a touchdown, less extra point, in the first two quarters, pulled off a TD and two point conversion in the third quarter, then hung out the Chiefs to dry, scoring two TDs in the final quarter to end the night at 34-0.
The game decided the district ranking. Both teams were undefeated in district play going into the game. The Chiefs are 4-5 overall and 2-1 in district.
Jefferson County owns the No, 1 spot in the district with the Chiefs dropping to the No. 2 spot.
The Chiefs wind up their final regular season game Friday at home against Port Gibson.
