Veronica Watts Jackson, 81, of Magnolia, died Oct. 2, 2022 at Southwest Medical Center. She was born Jan. 24, 1941, in Pike County to the late Weldright Elijah and Alyeen Watts.
She joined Pink Hill Missionary Baptist Church and served as an usher and in the kitchen ministry. She attended Rose Hill school and later in life earned her GED. She married Albert J. Jackson, and they had two children. She loved homemaking and was known for her cakes and pies.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Albert J. Jackson; son, Alvin Jackson (Sandra); son-in-law, Larry Lacey; sister, Vester Smith; grandchildren, Nichlos T. Jackson, Tiara R. Robinson, Alonzo E. Jackson, Ronnisha S. Thurman (Nathaniel), Larry D. Lacey and Albert J. Jackson; great grandchildren, Natalie D. Thurman and Liam L. Jackson.
Funeral services were Oct. 8, 2022, at Pink Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Magnolia, pastor Robert Dobbs officiating, interment at Pink Hill Church Cemetery.
