Chiefs end season with 33-19 playoff loss to Wesson

Last year the Chiefs knocked off Wesson in the 3A playoffs. This year it was turnaround as the Cobras handed Tylertown a 33-10 defeat to end the Chiefs’ season. Wesson took the lead four minutes into the first quarter, then following with another score to put the Cobras up 13-0 at the end of the first quarter.
The Chiefs got back into the game to come within six points of the Cobras after a touchdown and extra point in the second quarter to close the half, trailing 13-7.
Wesson came back from the halftime break, putting another two touchdowns on the board with no answer from the Chiefs making it a 26-7 ballgame at the close of the third quarter.
The Chiefs attempted a comeback, scoring two touchdowns in the final quarter to Wesson’s seven, but when the final horn sounded the Chiefs found themselves on the losing end of the score, 33-19, ending short at the playoffs and the season.
